LEARN HOW TO TIE YOUR SHOE LACES

Did You Know?

Young children are far more likely to know how to use a smartphone than to tie their shoe laces!

An international poll involving 6,017 parents found that two-thirds of Australian kids aged three to five years knew how to navigate a smartphone or iPad, 28% could operate a web browser, 70% could play a basic computer game, 58% could ride a bike, but only 8% could tie their shoelaces!

Do Your Students Know How To Tie Their Laces?

Our FREE shoe lace tying lessons will not only help children learn an important life skill, but it will also assist in developing their fine motor skills and help create independence.

We run free foot health education programs nation-wide for primary school students. As a Brisbane based school shoe manufacturer, we work closely with the local Podiatry community and our retail partner at The Athlete’s Foot to ensure we are meeting the needs of the Australian school market.

Part of this commitment is in educating students about a range of foot health issues from learning how to tie shoelaces to basic foot biomechanics.

Master The Nine Steps!

Point them up to the sky!

Make sure that the GREEN lace is at the top

Take the bottom lace up to the top, then bring it back underneath the other lace

Make sure the knot is firmly against the shoe

Bring the two BROWN pieces together to make a tree trunk, the GREEN represents the leaves of the tree

Find the BROWN marker on the other lace and bring it towards your chest

Run the marker over your hand and around the tree

Do you see the hole we just created? Poke the marker through the hole

Hold the marker and the top of the tree and pull tight. You've now tied your laces!
